FTP Data Feed is Back in Business!

FTP Data Feed Users,

As I’m sure you know, we’ve experienced some rough waters these past weeks due to maintenance within our FTP Data Feed environment.

We are pleased to let you know that we've had two full FTP Data Feed catalogs build today, the latest completing May 30th 8:59pm PST with 1513 individual category files. We are back in business on the FTP Data Feed front; please return to your regularly scheduled updating processes…we’ll keep the fresh feeds coming!

New Categories in Appliances

Hey Publishers!  If you are using our Catalog API or our FTP data feeds, please note that we have new categories available for use.

Download New Nodes_05-28-09

IMPACT

FTP Data Feed: There will be new category files representing each new atomID.  There will be fewer offers in related category files as offers are recategorized into the newly created categories.

Catalog API & Dynamic Content Assets (excluding product pods): If you are making dynamic calls within 'Appliences', and not specifying a keyword, you may want to consider tuning your specified category to continue displaying your desired results.

Please contact us if you have any questions about the new atoms or categories!

Publisher outages expected during the next two weeks

Through the next two weeks, the Shopzilla Publisher Program anticipates intermittent outages as a result of enterprise-wide environmental maintenance.  This will affect the Publisher Portal, Dynamic Assets, Catalog API, and FTP Data Feeds.

At times Publishers may not be able to access the Publisher Portal and Dynamic Assets may show default content, or produce errors. The Catalog API will experience sporadic outages. The FTP Data Feeds will experience a lag between updates.

Fortunately, this event is temporary, and the end results will be great…but the Shopzilla Publisher Program will be impacted various times and durations over the next two weeks.  Please be aware that this does not affect Shopzilla’s capacity to track Publisher redirects and reporting data will be safely stored in our systems.  We will be monitoring all systems, to ensure maximum uptime.  We want you live!

We truly apologize for the inconvenience that this might cause.  Note that the Shopzilla Publisher Program cannot compensate Publishers for any experienced downtime or latency.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Reporting returns 'there was no data found' message

We have had publishers comment that when they try to run an earnings report in their Publisher Program portal it returns with the message “There was no data found”. We are aware of this issue, and would like to apologize to those of you that are affected by this. This error message will return if a reporting date range greater than one week is called to the system. We are in the process of making some upgrades to our system, and as a result the system is timing-out and returning with no information. Please be aware that all of the reporting is safely stored in our system, and is not affected by this issue.

We do hope to have this issue resolved in the near future. We understand the importance of reporting to any business campaign, so, for the moment, we will run any manual reports that you require. Please email bbyrne@shopzilla.com with the reporting data you need for your account. Please include a date range, and if you want the information by day, week or month. You can also opt to for a report by placement ID. Again, we apologize for this inconvenience.

Thank you for your continued participation in the Shopzilla Publisher Program!
